Donate Blood! Be a hero!

The “Donează sânge! Fii erou! / Donate Blood! Be a hero!” project was launched in 2008 as an initiative of the medical students’ associations in Romania, being at the moment one of the most important health events organized at national level. The event takes place twice a year in all the member centres of the Federation of Medical Students’ Associations in Romania, taking place simultaneously in 11 cities: Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Iasi, Braşov, Oradea, Timişoara, Sibiu, Târgu-Mureş, Constanţa and Craiova.

The main goal of the project is to better inform the population about the importance and benefits of blood donation and to combat the blood deficit in hospitals in Romania through a strong social responsibility campaign for the population and by organizing extensive blood collections in all major cities.

The event also took place in Craiova from May 7 to 11, 2018, and Casa Noastra was actively involved in organizing a blood collection at the company headquarters. All employees who are eager and medically fit have been able to donate blood and thus save lives.

Through this action we want to emphasize that we understand the significant importance of blood deficit in Romanian hospitals and we show our support for this situation. We want to be an example for individuals, organizations, companies and institutions by helping people realize the importance of engaging in such events.

Helping is a choice! We have chosen to be heroes!
