Thermal insulation

Your home comfort relies mainly on keeping a constant temperature with minimal energy consumption. At QFORT the thermal insulating systems correspond to the most demanding needs.

In the window building industry thermal conductivity is expressed as the U-factor, measures the rate of heat transfer and tells you how well the window insulates. The lower the U factor, the less are the heat losses and thus the better the thermal insulation of that construction element.

Ug factor (g = glass) represents the U factor of the insulating glass unit, and Uw (w = windows) - the value for the whole window ( frame + sash + insulating glass unit).

From the graph bellow you can easily deduce the comfort gains and the energy savings achieved by choosing windows with a lower U factor.
